AAO · Agent-to-Agent Optimization

Ready for your
customer’s agent.

When customers use agents to find products, compare prices and choose services, merchants need an agent of their own. AAO turns your product knowledge, quotation rules and service capabilities into a sales workflow that other agents can understand and work with.

ILLUSTRATIVE PROCUREMENT FLOW

From customer intent
to a merchant handoff.

Agent-to-Agent (A2A) collaboration lets a buyer’s agent exchange requirements and proposals with a merchant’s agent. This illustrates a procurement workflow; integrations depend on available platform capabilities and project permissions.

Help the buyer’s agent understand your offer.

CUSTOMER AGENT · REQUIREMENTS

Find a suitable product or service

Organize the intended use, budget, specifications and delivery window, then query accessible merchants.

MERCHANT AGENT · VERIFIED INFORMATION

Return an evidence-based shortlist

Respond with reviewed product information, service scope, eligibility and case material, with sources and update dates.

Delivery focus: maintainable product and service knowledge, with testable matching rules.

Turn a conversation into a proposal.

CUSTOMER AGENT · COMPARISON

Check specifications, price and timing

Compare options within purchasing constraints, adding quantity, delivery location and service requirements.

MERCHANT AGENT · QUOTATION RULES

Prepare a quote within its authority

Use authorized price and inventory data, state validity and delivery conditions, and route special discounts or complex requests to a person.

Delivery focus: quotation rules, permission limits, exception handoffs and interaction records.

Confirm authority before placing an order.

CUSTOMER AGENT · APPROVAL

Present the proposed purchase

Show products, fees, terms and the next action to the customer, obtaining confirmation under the agreed permissions.

MERCHANT AGENT · BUSINESS HANDOFF

Connect orders, fulfillment and support

Use available interfaces to connect an existing store, CRM or order system, return traceable status and retain a human support route.

Delivery focus: authorized order and payment actions, with interfaces, eligibility and acceptance agreed in the project.

AAO SERVICE SCOPE

Four capabilities
for agent-led sales.

Start with a practical business scenario, then build the merchant agent and collaboration workflow around it.

01

Product and service knowledge

Organize products, specifications, pricing rules, inventory sources, service scope and fulfillment terms into information that can be queried and maintained.

02

Merchant agent design and build

Design consultation, product matching, quotation and support capabilities. Define when the agent answers, calls a business system or hands over to a person.

03

Agent collaboration and system integration

Assess target channels, identity and permissions. Connect buyer agents, CRM, stores or order systems through available interfaces and retain key interaction records.

04

Pilot validation and improvement

Test factual accuracy, quotation consistency, task completion and exception handling against agreed scenarios. Improve the workflow using operating evidence.

The sales entry point is changing.
Prepare your business now.

PUBLIC DEVELOPMENT · 12 AUG 2026

Weixin’s in-app agent has entered a small-scale prototype test.

Tencent disclosed a small-scale prototype test for Xiaowei, the agentic AI inside Weixin. This is a product-development milestone, not a personal-agent rollout to every Weixin user.

TERRA’S VIEW

A new buyer interface calls for a new merchant response.

As personal agents take part in more purchasing decisions, merchants can prepare products and services that agents can understand and invoke. Discovery may shift, while stores, payments, fulfillment and after-sales service still need working infrastructure.

SCOPE & PRICING

Define the scope
before you start.

How is AAO priced?

Like GEM, AAO uses custom project pricing. We assess the use case, catalog size, existing systems, target agent channels and interface availability before agreeing on implementation, pilot duration, maintenance and acceptance. Tool, model, third-party system and ongoing operating costs are specified in the proposal. GEO annual fees and GEM revenue-share terms do not automatically apply.

Can AAO connect to every Weixin user’s personal agent today?

Connectivity depends on the interfaces and account permissions currently available on Weixin and other target platforms. Business information, merchant agents and collaboration workflows can be scoped, built and piloted now. Personal-agent interoperability and transaction capabilities are validated as access becomes available; universal connectivity is not promised.

What if we already have a customer-service bot?

We first assess whether the existing system supports reliable product knowledge, permissions, business-system calls and human handoffs. Suitable capabilities can be reused. AAO addresses buyer-agent requirements, quotation rules and business handoffs that remain missing.

Is AAO included in the two GEO annual plans?

AAO is a separate custom engagement. GEO Guided Operations at CNY 39,800 per year and GEO Flagship Fully Managed at CNY 168,000 per year retain their current scope. Combined engagements specify each service and its fees separately.

Is AAO an official protocol or a Weixin certification?

AAO is TERRA’s service name: Agent-to-Agent Optimization. It describes optimization for agent-to-agent sales collaboration. Communication protocols and integration methods are selected for each project; the name does not imply official partnership, certification or endorsement from Weixin or another platform.

How is the work accepted? Are sales guaranteed?

Acceptance uses agreed scenarios and test evidence: supported answers, consistent quotes, traceable authorized actions and correct exception handoffs. Payment, contract and refund actions follow the agreed authority. Sales volume, GMV and revenue are not guaranteed outcomes.

Your next customer
may send an agent first.

Start with one use case: what you sell, how customers request a quote and what your systems can support. We use this to design an implementable AAO engagement.
